Bert & Ernie & Bernie

If I have the chronology correct, I believe Bert and Ernie as a team name duo appeared first in the classic film It's a Wonderful Life, followed by Sesame Street, and then eventually the names combined again in the year 2015 to manifest presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, possibly from whole cloth or possibly from Vermont. Who really knows. It's a mythic mystery.
